Haverford's Holiday Festival 2024
The Havertown Holiday Festival is set to return for its third annual celebration on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a rain date of December 8.
This family-friendly event will take place on Brookline Boulevard in Havertown, Pennsylvania, and promises a festive atmosphere honoring Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and the joys of winter.
Admission:
$5 per person
Children 3 and under: Free
$20 per household
Proceeds support Discover Haverford's initiatives to enhance the economic vitality of Haverford Township.
Event Highlights:
Live Entertainment: Enjoy performances by local groups, including the Upper Darby Summer e Shooting Stars at 3:45 PM, delivering holiday favorites.
Costumed Characters: Meet beloved characters such as Elsa, Olaf, the Grinch, Santa, and Buddy the Elf, who will be available for photos and interactions throughout the day.
Children's Activities: Participate in storytime sessions, including a special holiday storytime with Ms. Katrin from the Haverford Township Free Library at 1:00 PM, and engage in various crafts suitable for all ages.
Food and Beverages: Savor a variety of offerings from food trucks and vendors, along with beer, wine, and hot adult beverages to keep warm.
Holiday Marketplace: Explore unique gifts and crafts from local artisans, perfect for holiday shopping.
Ice Sculpture Demonstration: Witness live ice sculpting by artist Rob LoFurno starting at noon, sponsored by Porsche of the Main Line.
Tree Lighting and Caroling: Join the community for a tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 PM, followed by caroling around the tree.
Location and Parking:
The festival is located at the corner of Brookline and Darby Roads in Havertown. The first block of Brookline will be closed to traffic. Parking is available at the Brookline Municipal Lot adjacent to the festival, the Municipal Complex lots near Manoa and Darby Roads, and along Darby Road. Additional parking is available at Chatham Park Elementary School starting at 1:00 PM and possibly at Haverford Middle School. Attendees are encouraged to walk or use ride-sharing services due to expected high attendance.
